Jewels of Toledo

Read my previous post:
Part 1: Departure
Part 2: Puerta del Sol
Part 3: Of Palace and Parks
Part 4: Solo Trippin' Thoughts
Part 5: Gastronomic Spain

First of all, sorry for the uber long hiatus readers! I have been really busy with my academics and thanks to the long weekend, yours truly finally managed to squeeze some time to continue updating with the journey at Spain.
THE OOTD
Left: Braided hair;
Right: Baju kurung for class

A day prior to my departure to Toledo (short update)

As usual, it was another day to attend the classes. Time has failed me to do a side scalp braid, so yeah in the end I resorted to a casual braid.

Left: The scenery near my accomodation
Middle: Fueled on this at the metro station (1.5 Euro)
Right: Ifema metro station

If you read my previous post before, you will be aware that how energy consuming was my trip there at Spain. So, eventhough I already had my breakfast at my place, I got hungry again when I arrived just at the metro station.
After the class, I went for a Dentsply composite workshop. It was a short workshop, nevertheless I enjoyed it ;)

Spent most of my time at IFEMA so there's basically nothing interesting yet (hahas).

And for the next day

It was finally my presentation day. Had a navy ruffled top over a skirt.

Presentation Day

Pre-presentation food (thank you you-know-who-you-are!!). Best seafood paella ever with pork chop, a cake and a bun.

Post-presentation with the ever gorgeous Esther!

Since my presentation ended pretty late, I could only afford a short time to rush to Toledo.

Train between the metro rushing ride

Finally managed to get on the bus!

Toledo is a UNESCO heritage site and it is known as the "City of the Three Cultures". As you can see from the architectures there already, they have influences of the cultures of Jews, Christians and Muslims. There's so much to explore at Toledo, but I could only afford an hour here due to time restraint. Anyhow, the effort of rushing was still definitely worth it.

Amazing sceneries! Too loss for words.

Since the city is located at a higher ground, we need to take the escalator up to this city.

The panoramic view up from the city.

Posing at the beautiful street

So the first place that was on the itinerary was Iglesia de Santo Tome.

Unfortunately after running for approximately 20 minutes to find it closed!

Inside it lies the greatest piece of art of Toledo, the el Greco painting. But instead of wasting more time......

Let's get going! And I shall let the pictures to do the talking..

Loving the quaint city

斗牛, 要不要?

Funny face but.. whatever

The magnificent Toledo Cathedral

One hour is indeed so not enough, obviously. But having a chance to come is already something I'm very grateful about. It was a last minute plan to come to this place, and perhaps someday I could revisit back again? Well, perhapsss..

Barcelona's post  on the way.
So stay tuned!

Thanks for reading :),
